Overview

There are four different community league sports:  volleyball, basketball, floor hockey and soccer.   Make up your own team (parents, students, teachers, community members) or sign up and we will assign you a team.

The purposes of this league are:

*  Spirit building among the AIS community

* To teach sportsmanship, teamwork and cooperation through recreation

*  To bring together diverse constituents of the AIS community (younger and older students, faculty, parents, etc.)

Equipment:  Athletic department and own

Fee:  25 shekels per participant (to be paid upon registration)

Length of games:  To be decided, depending on sign-up

Rules

Composition of Teams:

* Between 6-9 players per team for volleyball, floor hockey and soccer.

*  For Basketball between 3-6 players per team.

*  Teams must be co-ed at all times.

*  Adults and students may play on the same team.

*  No more than two non-AIS community guests on any given team.

Conditions of League:

*  No borrowing of players from any other team.

*  Promptness important (technical loss if team is more than 5 minutes late).

*  No schedule changes may be made during the season.

*  Team colors are encouraged in order to develop a sense of unity in each team.

*  Correct footwear is required, non-marking athletic shoe.

*  League rules will be available at the warm-up round on.
