ANDREA PLUCKNETT
Andrea Plucknett
is in Israel
accompanying her husband Roy for his four-year tour with the US Agency for
International Development. This is the
family’s second tour, the first being in Cairo,
Egypt. The Plucknetts
have two children both of which are currently attending AIS - Ryan who is in
8th grade and Rachel in Grade 2.
Andrea received her undergraduate
degree in engineering from Polytechnic
University in New York City and her graduate degree in
Contracting from Florida Institute of Technology. She has over 20 years of working experience,
fifteen (15) years with the Department of Defense and 5 years with the Institute of International Education. Her areas of
expertise lie in contracting for educational development, federal and commercial
procurement, grant administration, strategic planning, quality control,
budgeting and administration.
School Board Participation
During their five-year tour in Cairo, she served as the
homeroom mom for both her children’s’ classes and was an active member of the
PTA and school fundraising campaigns. As
the mother of students in both elementary and middle school, she is interested
in striving to work together with parents and educators to build better futures
for our children through engaged learning and for AIS to continue to be an
exemplary educational institution through its diverse and inclusive
environments.
Andrea is a member of the Financial Assistance
and Policy Board Sub-Committees.
