Brent Bohne

Brent Bohne is an ex-Officio member of the AIS School Board. He has served on a number of school boards in his twenty two years in the Foreign Service.  Most recently, he was the Ambassador’s Representative on the board of Tashkent International School in Uzbekistan for three years.  During this time, the school moved to a brand-new campus, hired a new Director, and implemented the IB and PYP programs, all of which he was closely involved with.  He was also very active in liaison with the State Department concerning GRASP and Phase II grants.

He comes from a family of educators.  His father was a university professor, his mother an ESL teacher, his brother is a high school teacher (in Jeddah, currently) and his sister is an elementary school teacher in the U.S.

The Bohne’s have two children at AIS.  One, Christie, is a handicapped/special needs child in 6th Grade; the other, Dasha, was adopted last year and is currently in 5th Grade while she learns English and catches up on educational gaps, which she’s doing very well.  They are thus very involved with the school and their children’s needs.
