School Board Participation

Fuad and Fatin believe that good education is the key factor for developing productive and strong members of a community, which subsequently results in a very good and healthy society. Furthermore, good education provides the substrata for people to build tolerance towards other cultures and societies. Therefore, strong family ties and good education for our three children, Amgad (grade 12), Yasmeen (grade 7) and Ayman (grade 4), all at AIS, are the focal point for Fatin and Fuad.

Fuad has been involved in the national education system for many years. During Fuad’s doctoral studies, he worked as an inspector for designing and preparing the National High School Science exams. During his twelve year stay in Kenya, Fuad and Fatin were active members of the PTA at the International School, which their three children attended. Fuad brings with him a long experience of International culture, and communication with people from different societies and communities, with different cultural backgrounds, to which he was exposed and with whom he dealt during his 16 years abroad.

As parents, we believe in working side by side with the school administration and teachers to reach the goal of creating a healthy environment for our children in which to live, grow up and learn. We believe that school is a single family, and parents, students and teachers should care about the best interests of the whole. Finally, Fuad is strongly supported by his wife, Fatin, who has a Master degree in education (M.Ed), and is currently aiming towards her doctorate (Ph.D.) in education. She will be a strong back up to him along the way.

Fuad is currently serving on the Development & Building Board Sub-Committees.
