Hello, my name is Yasmin Kovacs Buttery and I’m 15 years old in 10th grade at the American School in Even Yehuda. I have lived in London, the West Bank, East Jerusalem, Tanzania, Kenya and now Tel Aviv. I am British but have only lived in England for the first 3 years of my life and since then I have been moving around every two to three years. Other than being involved with MUN I am part of the Varsity Soccer and Softball teams at school, student council and I enjoy playing Hockey and Snowboarding in my free time.
I’ve been involved in MUN for the past 4 years. I’ve participated in 4 conferences as a delegate. In 2004 at my first conference, I represented Brazil in the Health Committee at EAMUN (East African MUN) and then I was also Egypt delegate in the Environment committee at a second conference that year. In 2005 I attended EAMUN once more this time representing Greece in the Human Rights committee. In January 2007, I went to a MUN conference in Qatar hosted by the Georgetown University representing Gabon in The African Union Committee. This year I will be chairing the ECOSOC committee at TIMEMUN. Please feel free to contact me via email (u10ybuttery@wbais.org) for any questions on the conference, committee or debate topics.
